Maranatha
Ministerial Fellowship, Int'l. MMFI was birthed out of
the need for spiritual covering and connectedness for new ministries coming
forth from Maranatha Christian Church in Williston, Vermont. Founded upon the
apostolic ministry and model of Bishop Rick Callahan and governed by an Apostolic
Board, MMFI is a ministerial fellowship that licenses, ordains, inspires, and
equips dozens of men and women in their Kingdom calling in many nations of the
world.
Connectedness
without Control.
The two essential elements that MMFI seeks to provide are covering and connection.
Covering supplies safety, accountability, and direction. Connnection supplies
the vital contacts for growth and expression. MMFI desires to "come alongside"
committed men and women to strengthen their Kingdom calling. Together we not
only acheive our destiny in God, but also make the blessing of the journey that
much greater.
Networking
churches and Christian leaders with apostolic perspectives and prophetic insight
for the encouragement of upward call of God in Jesus Christ.
The
Antioch Model for Ministry
A
Model for Ministry. Acts 14 relates the founding
of the church at Antioch. This church was of great significance to the Early
Church and has been of particular importance to the founding of MMFI.
Antioch
was the first apostolic church of the Bible that ministered cross-culturally.
The gospel was preached, and a new church was planted. Disciples were made,
strengthened and encouraged. Local leadership was set in place. This church
then became the launching pad and support station for missionary endeavors.
Though
no pattern or model of ministry is required of those who minister in MMFI,
certainly the leadership of the fellowship has been influenced by the Biblical
pattern of the Antioch church.
