Dr. Ron Cottle
Founder
and President of Beacon University and Christian Life Educators
Network, Columbus, Georgia, Ron Cottle has always embraced
a deep love for God's Word and the desire to se God's people well-equipped in
the knowledge of the Scriptures. Beacon University began in 1975 as a dream in
the heart of Dr. Cottle, and what had been Beacon College and Graduate
School, became an accredited University in 2004. Christian Life
Educators Network was established to serve the twenty-first century
church and its leadership by enabling them to educate and train their members
for Kingdom service. This "school without walls" now has thousands
of students throughout the U.S. and the world.
For many years, Dr. Cottle prepared himself academically and spiritually,
earning a Ph.D. in Religion, and the Ed.D. in Higher Education from USC.
His extensive professional preparation included teaching and administration in
several colleges and graduate schools. Simultaneously, Dr. Cottle became a
spiritual leader whose teaching ministry has touched thousands of lives around
the world. He also hosted an international television program called
"Word for the World" from 1985-1995, and has authored more than 14
books.
Dr. Cottle is married to Joanne, his bride of 53 years. They have one son,
Ron, Jr., and one grandson, Roman.
